Professor Katerina Lewinbuk is a Professor of Law at South Texas College of Law in Houston, Texas where she teaches Professional Responsibility, Deposition Skills, Attorney-Client Disputes, Legal Profession in a Comparative Context and Legal Research & Writing (and also her new course titled “Mindful Lawyering”). Prior to that, she taught at DePaul University Law School in Chicago. Professor Lewinbuk has twice taught as a Fulbright Senior Specialist in Monterrey, Mexico and in Prague, and has taught legal courses in Moscow, Istanbul, the Republic of Georgia and other parts of the world. Professor Lewinbuk also served as Program Director/Course Advisor and taught at the International Law Institute in Washington, D.C.  The program prepares international LL.M. students to enter law schools throughout the United States and it also provides an overview of the U.S. legal system to judges and practicing attorneys from all over the world. Prior to teaching, Professor Lewinbuk was an associate attorney at the Chicago office of Baker & McKenzie law firm and is licensed to practice law in Texas, Illinois and District of Columbia.
